Well my wonderful husband and his friends totally outdid themselves this year. Chris had meetings the week before Valentines day, so Chris and I went down to Vegas for the weekend. We went to some fun restaraunts, saw Mama Mia, and just hung out by the pool and watched movies in our room. It was a much needed break from the arctic climate of Cache Valley, and a priceless opportunity to feel like we were dating again. Thanks to Debbie for taking the kids.
Well if that wasn't great enough. Chris and some neighbors cooked up a Romantic Valentines Day Dinner. About five couples got together and the men did all the planning, cooking, and everything. We went to our neighbors house and they had decorated the table with candles, roses, and rose petals, they had Andrea Bocelli playing in the background, and then they made butternut squash soup, filet mignon, steamed asparagus with a viniagrette, Pome de Terre Anna (thinly sliced potatoes painted with rosemary butter and baked), with a crisp meringue heart for dessert with fresh whipped cream and raspberries. One of the guys was the head chef but everyone did their part. The men served us each course and then gave each of us a dozen red roses and a very thoughtful card. It was one of the most romantic things he has ever done for me.
